Confidentiality & Ethics
-
Confidentiality is a central part of therapy. What you share in sessions is treated with care and respect, and will not be shared with anyone else without your consent.
There are a small number of situations where confidentiality may need to be broken. This is usually when there is a serious risk or harm to you or to someone else, or where I am required to do so by law. If this ever became a concern, I would always aim to discuss it with you first wherever possible.
I work in line with the ethical frameworks and professional standards of my accrediting bodies. This means working transparently, maintaining appropriate boundaries, and placing your wellbeing at the centre of the work.
If you have questions or concerns about confidentiality, ehics, or how information is handled, you are always welcome to ask.
